Day 1 of 365

Blessed new year!!

Been writing unfinished blog posts and haven't had the willpower to finish them. can't even remember our blog name. goodness!

so I thought since it's the new year and the hubs is working. i have nothing better to do. all the tv shows are on break. so i thought i'll finish writing everything so that i don't have to think about it anymore

Day 365

I can't believe that this is the last day of the year.

Day 365.

This year has been crazy, stressful, fun, interesting, adventurous, and dramatic. I can't believe that we're entering into the new year soon.

For starters, I'm done with uni! Done with studying! Until maybe some time in the future where I might need to continue studying again to be in the current

This is us. We wanted to be on this bridge to watch the fireworks.

We've learned from last year to not be in the CBD to welcome the new year. So I thought, why don't we just watch it from the bridge in front of our place.

Since we were early we decided to walk nearer towards Crown to see if there's a better view. As we were walking, we noticed people with tents, picnic mats, blankets, or some sat on the wooden walkway.

As we were nearing Crown, there was just too many people and we hate crowded places. So we decided to turn back to where we came from. Found a spot to seat and decided to set up the GoPro. As we were setting up, there were more and more people coming which was fine because we were at the edge of the wooden walkway anyway. Nobody would be in the way of our view

If people pushed us, we would've fallen into the river

before we know it, it was countdown and we had to quickly reposition the camera again. Then the fireworks began!!

the funniest part was that the bar opposite from where we were did a countdown. so the people over here followed suit. but when i looked at my phone, it just turned 11.59 pm. someone's watch or phone must be really lousy.

in the end, we had 2 countdowns

This view was way better with lesser crowd.

Last year we couldn't even see all of the fireworks cuz we were in the CBD itself. We were under all the buildings where the fireworks came from. And don't ask me about the way home.

We barely walked because we were pushed along by people making their way to wherever else they wanted to be.

But this time, nope. None of that.

We enjoyed it more than last year. It was a good good call

But yet I do miss going for watch night service. I do miss welcoming the new year with close friends and family. These 2 years we celebrated on our own and with strangers. Definitely something we have to get used to until we find good friends of our own here

our midnight adventure

It's Christmas Eve??

Seriously?? Where has the time gone?

We've been so busy with work and all that we didn't have time to think of what presents to buy for each other.

Last night the husband worked till 10.30pm. Westfield Doncaster was open till 2am and Chadstone will be open from 8pm yesterday till 6pm today.

Last year we went to Chadstone but some of the shops didn't participate in the 20+ hours opening hours. Which was quite disappointing.

This year we tried again. Went to Westfield first since it's nearer to the husband's workplace.

When we reached, we went straight to PappaRich express because he was curious as to how it would look like. After that he had his dinner (or rather supper) and off we went shopping

Didn't find much in Westfield so decided to go to Chadstone. Managed to buy board shorts for our trip to Palm Cove next year. Once again, most shops weren't open

he's back. back again

2nd day and 3rd night was no different.

But at least I managed to count down to the point where he has data and phone line.

In kl, he didn't have any and we had to rely on his dad's phone.

But all is good now.

The world is finally right once again when I have my husband back at my side again

Day 2 without the hubs

It's funny how things change in such a short period of time.

Just staying together for close to 2 years could make it feel like he's a part of me. That not having him with me everyday feels weird and like I've lost something.

It feels weird to not feel him move next to me in the middle of the night or to get jab in the side with his knee when I turn to the other side

Feels weird to not get up with him by my side or to push him half asleep cuz he woke me with his loud snoring

At least I get to see him tmr but only after work. Can't wait!!!

first night without the husband

On Friday night we found out that the husband's paternal grandma passed away.

We've been told that it was a peaceful death so thank God for that. There were talks about going home for the funeral and up till yesterday it was confirmed.

The husband will be going but I won't because of work and I'm not feeling well too.

We've been married for only 1 year 10 months and 11 days.

We've never been apart. Not even 2 years of marriage and we're going to be apart

Sigh here comes the long distance again. Don't know how I'll survive this.

Well, at least I have work to occupy myself. But still.... Ever since we've gotten married, I always joked that I'm not used to sharing the bed with someone.

I've always had a queen sized bed to myself. So now that I have to share it with someone, it's made the bed super small

Now, the husband said that all those times I've joked about it, it has finally come true. He'll be away for 2 days 3 nights  I'll have to sleep alone for 3 nights

It's December???!!

Can't believe that it's December already!!! So many plans that hasn't been settled. We've only decided on 3 things.

1. We don't mind having a baby. Whenever God gives

2. We're going to Palm Cove for our anniversary next year

3. We definitely wanna stay here in Melb

That's all. All the other nitty gritty plans hasn't even been finalized yet and it's already December!! I can't believe this

We were at the night noodle market 1 or 2 weeks ago. Decided to go after dinner because if not we'll spend quite a sum of money. It's a lil pricey because the portions are quite small for the price that you pay. But in the end, we spent quite a bit on snack and desserts too. But oh wells. Have to enjoy once in a while right?

some of the decorations that were up

the beautiful skyline. it was nearly sunset

if you look closely, it's actually kettles hanging from the trees
