our midnight adventure

It's Christmas Eve??

Seriously?? Where has the time gone?

We've been so busy with work and all that we didn't have time to think of what presents to buy for each other.

Last night the husband worked till 10.30pm. Westfield Doncaster was open till 2am and Chadstone will be open from 8pm yesterday till 6pm today.

Last year we went to Chadstone but some of the shops didn't participate in the 20+ hours opening hours. Which was quite disappointing.

This year we tried again. Went to Westfield first since it's nearer to the husband's workplace.

When we reached, we went straight to PappaRich express because he was curious as to how it would look like. After that he had his dinner (or rather supper) and off we went shopping

Didn't find much in Westfield so decided to go to Chadstone. Managed to buy board shorts for our trip to Palm Cove next year. Once again, most shops weren't open

he's back. back again

2nd day and 3rd night was no different.

But at least I managed to count down to the point where he has data and phone line.

In kl, he didn't have any and we had to rely on his dad's phone.

But all is good now.

The world is finally right once again when I have my husband back at my side again

Day 2 without the hubs

It's funny how things change in such a short period of time.

Just staying together for close to 2 years could make it feel like he's a part of me. That not having him with me everyday feels weird and like I've lost something.

It feels weird to not feel him move next to me in the middle of the night or to get jab in the side with his knee when I turn to the other side

Feels weird to not get up with him by my side or to push him half asleep cuz he woke me with his loud snoring

At least I get to see him tmr but only after work. Can't wait!!!

first night without the husband

On Friday night we found out that the husband's paternal grandma passed away.

We've been told that it was a peaceful death so thank God for that. There were talks about going home for the funeral and up till yesterday it was confirmed.

The husband will be going but I won't because of work and I'm not feeling well too.

We've been married for only 1 year 10 months and 11 days.

We've never been apart. Not even 2 years of marriage and we're going to be apart

Sigh here comes the long distance again. Don't know how I'll survive this.

Well, at least I have work to occupy myself. But still.... Ever since we've gotten married, I always joked that I'm not used to sharing the bed with someone.

I've always had a queen sized bed to myself. So now that I have to share it with someone, it's made the bed super small

Now, the husband said that all those times I've joked about it, it has finally come true. He'll be away for 2 days 3 nights  I'll have to sleep alone for 3 nights

It's December???!!

Can't believe that it's December already!!! So many plans that hasn't been settled. We've only decided on 3 things.

1. We don't mind having a baby. Whenever God gives

2. We're going to Palm Cove for our anniversary next year

3. We definitely wanna stay here in Melb

That's all. All the other nitty gritty plans hasn't even been finalized yet and it's already December!! I can't believe this

We were at the night noodle market 1 or 2 weeks ago. Decided to go after dinner because if not we'll spend quite a sum of money. It's a lil pricey because the portions are quite small for the price that you pay. But in the end, we spent quite a bit on snack and desserts too. But oh wells. Have to enjoy once in a while right?

some of the decorations that were up

the beautiful skyline. it was nearly sunset

if you look closely, it's actually kettles hanging from the trees

work, work, work, and work.

Feeling unwell recently. I've been taking vit c every morning before work but I guess it's not enough. The children's germs and bacteria is too strong.

Yesterday I lost a lil bit of my voice and it got worse today. I'm also down with a slight bit of cold

It's so horrible to feel unwell. You see, the thing is, I seldom fall sick. I only get headaches and sometimes migraines when it is the time of the month.

So when I fall sick, I feel like I'm dying.
So having lost my voice, it's hard when I'm in the older group rooms because they're so loud, I need to shout to be heard.

I thought they wouldn't hear me because I didn't have much voice. But to my amazement, when I "shouted", all of them stopped talking and looked at me with with a scared face. I almost lol-ed but had to maintain my unhappy face

As it is the end of the year, the kinder children and practicing for their graduation concert. The children from other rooms were their "audiences" as they practice to gain confidence. At the end of the concert, the children are supposed to say what they would like to be in the future  There were a few funny and out of the norm ones

Girl 1: a dump truck driver

Girl 2: policeman

Boy 1: red power ranger

The one that tops it all off was

Boy: a JB hi-fi worker!!!

It was so hilarious I almost burst out laughing!!

But of course I maintained a straight face. I mean come on....it's rude to laugh at their ambition especially since he looked so serious. Lol!! But jokes aside, it has made me realize the vast difference between asian and western culture. For us the straight forward answer would be doctor, teacher, astronaut, etc.

But these children were the total opposite!!

royal melbourne show 2014

we went to the shows last year too just that i wasn't so into blogging much about my life last year. i wonder why i've become so into it this year. i feel the need to write down as much of what's been going on as possible. maybe to remind myself of all the good things that's been happening. to really look at the bright side. writing it here actually helps me to look back and remind myself of all the stuff that's been happening. if not, everyday will just pass by and before i know it, i can't even remember what has happened. anyways....this year we truly enjoyed ourselves at the shows.

we watched something like this in Queenstown which was way more interesting than this because the dog brought all the animals from the fields and down the hill into the small shed for the demonstration.

speaking of Queenstown, i don't think i even blogged about it
there were so many things that happened during the trip that i think i should've written it down. because it all seems a little too fuzzy now

i love and am scared of huskies at the same time.
it's just their eyes. a bit too freaky for me

i love german shepherds. but i don't think the husband will allow me to get one

this year we managed to catch the woodchop shows.
it was interesting and fun to watch
the husband enjoyed it very much since he used to love watching it on tv

we managed to catch this one because all the times of the shows weren't running at the proper times
this was the last show for the "dancing with dogs" demonstration
it was so cute and weird at the same time seeing this owner dancing with her dog
the music was very upbeat but their movements were so slow and awkward

i love bichon frise!

what a good day indeed
the forecast said showers and thunderstorms but thank God there was none of that
but it was incredibly windy
so much so that the fireworks (i love fireworks!) was cancelled :(
boooo!

this dessert was delicious
we're definitely visiting their shop!

more woodchop
really respect this uncle
look at how old he is and yet he was competing among young men

the "exquisite egg show"
this was really nice to look at
all the details

amazing cakes
they had these last year as well
think they got better this year

template from the app
should've downloaded the app last year as well

when i was younger, i LOVE minnie mouse

this was by far the most interesting game i saw throughout the show.
but it was so difficult to win too. haha
