never quite understand.

when i was younger, i've never been able to quite understand or grasp why certain people love and support a football club.

until now, i can't seem to understand it completely especially having a full-fledged liverpool fan as my boyfriend. how can one be so passionate about a football club that one would stay up all night just to watch a match or would dart straight to the computer to check the latest position, score, or news even before brushing one's teeth.

even though i enjoy playing futsal, (i must say.... i've gotten past the stand-at-the-side-of-the-court-and-be-terrified-by-boys-or-the-ball phase. okay. maybe sometimes i do. i'm terrified when ppl charge for the ball as if it's their heart that we're kicking) i still can't understand what's all the craze about.

maybe one day, one day the revelation will dawn on me. but for the time being, i'm CLUELESS. haha

every time we will have the same conversation when he tells me that he's staying up for a match.

"what will u get out of this?"
"if they win, will they give you some of the money they've earned? will they wear ur name on their back? do they even know who u are?"
"if they lose.....? can u go turn back time can get ur sleep?"
"i'll get to feel proud about liverpool especially when i talk to jared, eugene, edward, nickC, winson, or hua choon and ALL the MU fans"!

bah. when he says that and when it comes down to football, i know that once he's made up his mind, i can never change it. i'll let him have his moment of proudness. bah.
